A. I always tell people looking for parts to go to www.car-parts.com. It's a good site that deals with yards from all over the U.S. and Canada (as well as other places). Some yards will ship parts to you as well don't feel you have to limit yourself to your local area.

You can go to the places but they will not let you take off the part. the person that works there has to do it but you can go in the yard and say yes or no if you want the part or tell witch car you want it off of j. A. First of you might be better buying a new turbo. Depends on the problem be more specific. But if you want you can buy turbo rebuild kits on ebay or search on the web just depends on your turbo ie garret ihi hks.

Q. My car was in an accident and it needs a new front bumper cover, Styrofoam (energy absorber), front left blinker and headlight mount bracket. I don't want to pay the auto body shops to paint & put a new bumper on, so I want to find an auto salvage yard in the Northern NJ (Bergen County) area. Q. Looking for a turn signal socket for a 99 Buick Regal, along with a few other minor parts. Having trouble finding a Regal at salvage yards...so, what other vehicles have parts interchangeable with mine (ex...I used to get Mercury Sable parts for my Ford Taurus of the same year). All the salvage yards around here tell me is they have nothing that new...so I want to search online but just need other cars to search for (like people parting out on craigslist). A. The good news is that my friend did this around 8 years back. So I know everything he did on this...even the mistakes he made. Basically he went around to salvage yard and picked up a turbo from the Buicks. He usually picked them up for $100-$350. He actually owned his own muffler/radiator shop so this was easy for him. Basically he weld a flange onto the headers and then he custom made the pipes that went from the turbo into the intercooler. From there he custom made some more pipes from the intercooler to the throttle body. He actually made his own intercooler by getting an intercooler core and then chopping a 3 1/2 inch tube in half and used each half for the endtanks for the intercooler. What underhood fuse block to nab from salvage jard? Custom Install!?

Since I am installing fuses, and breakers, and relays...to run my new electric coolant fan, relays for my headlights, etc, etc. I wanted to clean up all the wiring, and centralize all of it in one fuse block under the hood of my 1985 Caprice. I am keeping the under dash one, just wanting to install an additional used fuse box. I am planning to go to my local self-service parts yard, and am wondering which one to get. Prefer: Water and heat resistant, (shouldn't be a problem) Use the common fuse ATO preferred. Inexpensive, easy to find relays. Not to small, or large. no longer than a foot or so. A. Well, you can take a close look at them and if you notice any cracks, it's probably not a good, but bushings are pretty easy to determine if they are usable not just by that. Before buying, take a look!

Q. In February I purchase a 99 Yamaha Waverunner GP1200 jet ski, and it was my first time owning a jet ski. will liquid gasket work for petcock vacuum diaphram?
Q. I have an 83 Yamaha Virago 500 that is leaking gas out of the vacuum diaphragm. This part is discontinued, not available as an aftermarket, and not in supply from at least 5 larger networked salvage yards. Wondering if liquid gasket could be used to keep gas where it is supposed to be.
