A. You get something different out of every different type of flying. It depends what you're after. I can't think of a way to compare flying a helicopter to flying a hang-glider...just apples and oranges with their own unique benefits. Here are the benefits as I see them: Hang-Gliding: Alone with the wind, soaring as a bird would with nothing but the wind in your face and the world beneath you. Relatively inexpensive. Ultra-light: Super short take-offs from any open territory and relatively inexpensive with less stringent legal concerns. Greater controllability and range than a hang glider or sailplane. Gliders/Sailplanes: Comfort of an enclosed cockpit with greater control and maneuverability, relying on your knowledge and skill of… [cont.]
