What is intake exhaust sequence on a 350 chevy small block?
Q. Is it exhaust,intake intake,exhaust exhaust intake intake exhaust going down either side? there's a sequence for chevy big blocks and small blocks of which are intake and exhaust... Thanks goes to Mike G...exactly what I was looking for.

A. Your exhaust is right under the exhaust ports to the exhaust manifolds. So on all small block chevy's it from front to back e-i-i-e-e-i-i-e same on both sides

My filter intake tube only reaches about half way down in my 60 gallon tank should I get an extender?

Q. Sometimes when we drive past the country side the smell of the farm animals gets inside the car, and i started to wonder how the smell got in the car in the first place. Q. For a Nissan 350z, what intake is prooven to give the most horsepower? Ive seen alot of different answers. Many say "Its all on what you want". A. just so you know an air intake kit isn't going to add much HP, any HP gain it says is at a cold run, after about 5 minutes its going to get hot in the engine compartment from the exhaust headers and only end up gaining about 3-5 HP at the most, all it does is add more air to the engine which the ECU will adjust and add a little more fuel for the mixture, so a little bit more air and fuel isn't going to add a lot of HP, some kits will give you a lot less restrictions than the stock intake system though, but all an air intake kit really does is give you better acceleration and throttle response, so its actually not about HP gain, its actually about better air flow through the high performance filter and air flow to the throttle body since… [cont.]

What can i do to fix the intake manifold?
Q. I have a 2000 crown vic, it has a stock plastic manifold. It has a small hairline crack just below to heater hose line that goes into the top of the intake ,that is leaking coolant down and down into the combustion chamber where the spark plug is &causing misses. What glue or epoxy can i use to repair . Can i use the JB weld epoxy? Please be specific. I know this is a temporary fix but i cant afford to pay 300 for a new intake. The crack will probably get bigger over time right?

A. Well I think you are in luck. If you are the original owner of this, you may be able to get it repaired under warranty. And let me explain why. Ford is well aware of premature intake manifold failures on the 4.6 liter and has offered a new design on them. Mention recall number 05N04 which mentions extended coverage for the intake manifold. This recall ended in late 2006 but I know some people who made enough noise and got their manifold covered under warranty. Don't be confrontational about it. Be courteous about it and they may meet you in the middle by offering to pick up the part if you pay the labor.

How would horses get their salt intake living in the wild?
Q. It is stressed in so many feeding books and articles that all horses need a supply of salt in their diet. They say that they cannot get this salt from grazing.. So if it is so important that they get the right amount of salt intake, how would they get it in the wild?

A. In the wild they would not be limited to the area they can roam and would be able to acces natural mineral deposits the same as deer, elk, moose and other wildlife. There is also a big difference in quality of life between wild horses and domestic horses.

What can i spray in the intake for the vents in my car to rid musty odor?
Q. What could i spray in the intake for my cars heating and cooling system to kill a musty odor thats there when you turn it on. The odor isn't really that strong but id like it to mostly go away. What would work best febreze? Lysol?

Is it difficult to change the intake gasket on a 2001 chevy blazer?
Q. I have a 2001 Chevy Blazer. Every time I pour coolant in there it comes right back out. A car shop told me that I needed to change the intake gasket which is a $60 kit, plus $240 with labor. I think that I can save a lot if I just did it myself. I'm going to give it a try. Is it very hard to do?

How do i choose a cold air intake system?
Q. I have a 98' mitsubishi montero sport and i don't know how to find an air intake system that will fit it. Is there a way to find one to fit my car? They don't have any on ebay. I've seen a shield under the filter, is that usually included because i don't want any water in my engine.

A. Yeah, make it. Just takes time, measuring, cutting, and a bit of elbow grease. Just because you can shield under the filter doesn't mean water can't get there. Obviously a shield helps but if you go through a big puddle water is going to go everywhere including wherever your CAI is located. The best thing you can do is not drive it fast enough to sling water everywhere when it's wet outside or not get a CAI at all.
