Q. Would like to go to a wrecking yard and buy a rearend housing with posi or limited slip with high three's ( 380,383 ...) to bolt in without changing the mounting pads on my 74 Dodge dart sport I have 8.25 rear end now can I change that to posi and the gear ratio

A. just change the stump in it ,leave the housing,you wont find any good gears from a wrecking yard though for that one they have all been picked clean,try this web site ,they have all of what you need for it,you can change the gears and still use the housing,and this place has plenty of the gears,good luck.
